Dopamine - the biogenous amine which is formed of L-tyrosine. He is a predecessor of noradrenaline (see). As a neurotransmitter it plays an important role in activity of central nervous system. The mechanism of action of a row neurotropic, including psychotropic, drugs is connected with influence on dofaminergichesky processes of a brain (see Means for treatment of parkinsonism, Psychotropic drugs, Apomorphinum).
Different subtypes of dopamine receptors are identified: D ~, D (also others are possible to D ~ - receptors).
Functions D, - receptors are connected with promoting effect of dopamine on activity of adenylatecyclase and on formation of cyclic AMF; D, receptors are not tied with this effect. Some pharmacological substances are to some extent selection agonists of different D-receptors.
Dopamine is agonist D to a large extent, - receptors (in high concentrations it is also, agonist D, - receptors). Selection antagonists D ~ - receptors are a number of neuroleptics, including Sulpiridum (see) and also Metoclopramidum (see) and domperidon (see).
Recently selection agonists D ~ - receptors among derivative alkaloids of an ergot are received (see Bromocriptinum).
The dopamine received in the synthetic way found application as medicine recently.
