If you watched my videos you'd realize that that weight loss would explain any measurable improvements, not the composition of their diets. The low carbers play this game in every study of theirs.
Ask him to invite me. Don't hold your breath.
Really love all these videos man, love the beat-downs, love the density of great info, love the conviction you speak with and love your level-headed attitude when dealing with such insane people/ideas. i went high-carb vegan at the start of this year and im so thankful to you for assuring what i already now know from personal experience, with hard, valid science. which i accept with gratitude : )
He has a business, and it would make sense (for his company and consumers of his information) to keep the info, discussions, etc. on that site. The site's material is well organized and is searchable. The blog is a much better platform to publish information and have discussions than Youtube's comment system. So, from many points of view, it would be better if you took your knowledge and desire to discuss there. For everybody's sake.
I think it's too difficult for some people to admit they were credulous and were taken in by a charlatan. They'd rather save face. But I have heard from people who followed them for a while and then realized what was going on.
Some of those people lose extra weight too.
If you don't make money from this, then you have nothing to lose by taking your arguments to him (via his blog, probably). And more of us would gain by your open and direct discussions. Otherwise, your actions simply fuel wars on Youtube and elsewhere. And some of the "soldiers" are fools that think and state that everything we eat gets turned into glucose.
One thing I've learned about the Paleo gurus is that once they develop their following, there are some people who will continue to follow them no matter how badly they've been discredited. The "true believers" if you will. Mark Sisson, Anthony Colpo, and Gary Taubes are shining examples of this also.
By the way, why not ask them to comment here? You would think a "perfect" diet would be easy to defend, right?
You can call it low-level if you want. He's the one who based his diet on this stupid analysis of poor people.
Did these people lose weight, too?
I don't have the bandwidth, either. Unlike him I don't make money from this. I just try to educate people. But some people aren't ready to learn. All I had to do was demonstrate what a silly and dishonest scam they are running. Take it or leave it. Yet again, you are a believer who is unmoved by the criticisms in my videos which he cannot defend.
I have neither the "bandwidth" nor the knowledge to argue these low-level scientific details. He and his wife do.
"What's the evidence of a reversal of heart disease?"
Change in symptoms and results of medical tests.
If you are truly interested in uncovering the truth about what is the right diet for humans, that's great! In that case, why don't you take your discussion to him, where the discussion could be more public and more productive, and benefit more people?
